Identify residues and surface conditions
Record the cargo residue, coating type, accessible areas and cleaning equipment. MTX-TC-102 is described in the catalogue as a high-foam cleaner for coal, petroleum coke and associated oily residues in cargo holds.
Prepare before foam application
Remove loose dust and larger deposits. Confirm coating compatibility and the approved foam equipment. Dilution and contact conditions must follow the product TDS and the vessel’s cleaning procedure.
Maintain wet contact, then rinse
Apply uniform foam and prevent drying during the specified contact period. Foam makes coverage visible on hold walls and frames. Rinse thoroughly, drain and dry.
Inspect against the next cargo requirement
Inspect overhead surfaces, frames and corners after cleaning. Suitability for cargo oil tanks or storage tanks must be expressly confirmed in the product TDS; a cargo hold cleaner should not automatically be treated as a tank-cleaning product.
Based on the METOX product catalogue. These selection notes do not replace the current product TDS, SDS or equipment procedures.
