Alkaline Tank Cleaner

Product overview

A general marine hold/tank cleaner for vegetable and animal oils, fats, fuel oil, lubricating oil and coal cargo residues. For fats, sludge and organic cargo residues in compatible holds and tanks. Match previous cargo, construction materials and coating alkali resistance; rinse, drain and inspect residues before cargo changeover.

Typical applications

• Heavy oils and organic residues For deep cleaning before changeover where residues are suitable for alkaline treatment.
• Tanks and large-area cleaning Use circulation, spray or pressure equipment as appropriate for hold walls and tank interiors.
• Pre-loading preparation Restore cleanliness before loading; select conditions by previous cargo and coating compatibility.

Application guidelines

1. Confirm previous and next cargo, materials and alkali resistance. Remove large and recoverable residues.
2. Prepare solution as specified. Cover uniformly with prescribed equipment and treat heavily contaminated areas.
3. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and drain. Check corners and walls; dry and accept to changeover requirements.
