Match the cleaner to the substrate
Specify the metal or alloy, surface finish and contamination. Aluminium and ferrous-metal cleaning require different compatibility checks. Do not select only by the appearance of the soil.
Connect cleaning to the next operation
Confirm whether parts will be phosphated, polished, passivated, painted or otherwise finished. Residue removal and rinsing should support the subsequent stage.
Validate on representative parts
Evaluate the approved cleaning method, rinsing and surface condition on representative parts. Use the selected product TDS for operating conditions rather than transferring a concentration or temperature from another product.
