Product overview
An acidic ambient-temperature degreaser. Mild etching removes the natural oxide film, oil and carbon deposits from aluminium, combining oxide removal with degreasing. For aluminium and aluminium alloy pretreatment before anodising or conversion coating. Combines degreasing with mild etching; control depends on alloy grade, permitted metal removal and uniform wetting after cleaning.
Typical applications
- Ambient-temperature pretreatment Removes machining oils, fingerprints and general production soil from aluminium and its alloys at ambient temperature, reducing heating requirements.
- Pre-anodising and conversion cleaning Prepares a clean, uniform substrate for anodising, phosphating and other conversion coating processes.
- Batch and production line cleaning For immersion or production line cleaning of extrusions, stampings and machined parts; adjust conditions to the oil load.

Application guidelines
- Trial the process for the alloy grade and surface requirements; establish permitted etching and working solution conditions.
- Make up the bath as specified in the TDS. Control acidity, temperature and time; maintain the bath according to oil loading.
- Rinse thoroughly. Check for a continuous, water-break-free water film and surface colour, then proceed promptly to anodising or conversion treatment.
Use the current product TDS for operating parameters and the SDS for handling, storage and transport. Confirm compatibility under your process conditions.
